Playtime! You can see Harper's big tooth
It's what Harper does best

Harper may be embarrassed later, but I couldn't resist

Harper has changed so much since I posted last. She is now standing and taking a few steps before falling. She has three teeth, two bottom and one lone big top tooth. She waves and says bye bye. Her Grammy and Grandpy think she is the smartest baby ever. Along with her new developments she is getting more and more attitude. I am a little afraid of when we will be able to understand what she is saying, she may be in some big trouble. If she doesn't get her way she clinches her jaw and shakes, it is quite funny at times, but I'm sure it will not always be funny. As you can see she has also learned to eat and is enjoying new foods, her favorite is still plain ole Cheerios.
We had a very nice Christmas, although we missed some family members. Harper got tons of nice thing, we feel very blessed. It's time again to clean out her closet. Thanks to our families for making Christmas so nice.
For all who were worried, Harper's eye is healing nicely. The last desovible stitch came out a couple of days ago, and I think the scar looks less red everyday. There is no longer any bump.
I am job searching again because the doctor I worked for is closing his practice. So as of Monday I am unemployed, but I have some promising prospects.
Come visit us!
There are tons of pictures, because I have not posted in so long.

Harper and Ava busy playing

Harper has been super busy. She is pulling up on everything she can reach. I find her standing all the time. I think walking is not too far in the distant future. She still has no teeth, but is chewing on everything, so I feel that won't be long either.
I am so bad about posting blogs, there are many events that happen between the postings.

At the beginning of the month some of our friends from Lubbock stopped by on their way through town. It was nice to see them. Harper had fun playing with Ava.

Harper got an eye infection that resulted in an eye surgery to correct a blocked tear duct. It happened around the middle of October. It was pretty stressful to send my baby to surgery. The worse part was when they brought her out of surgery on a stretcher. She was so tiny compared to the huge stretcher. But thank God everything went well. Thanks for all the prayers. We felt very fortunate for our health and that we were only there for a minor procedure. We saw many kids with much more serious problems than ours.
This past weekend we went to Lubbock for the Texas Tech vs University of Texas game. It was a blast, Harper tailgated with us for a while before her Pop and KeKe so nicely came and picked her up. I forgot my camera but the game was a nail biter, we won though.
Also Harper has been to some pumpkin patches and the local farmer's market to take her first Halloween pictures. She usually smiles a lot, but we got her dressed and ready and I have one picture of her smiling. She refused to smile, I think maybe the pumpkins freaked her out a little. I even had Harper's Great Grammy and Grandpy along with GiGi helping and no one could get a smile. Since we were on the road to Lubbock Halloween night Harper got dressed up in her strawberry outfit just for the camera. She'll never know it wasn't Halloween night.
Harper is growing up so fast, she changes every week. We just really feel blessed to be her parents. Hope everyone is doing well. We will be home every weekend from now until Thanksgiving, let us hear from you!!!!
Oh I'll put one picture of Ben's new hobby, wildlife photography :). He grabs the camera anytime any wildlife comes in the backyard. He has some new pets, about 30 turkey, if anyone needs a Thanksgiving turkey let us know, we know where to get one.

Six Months

Harper is six months old today!!! How time flies. She is now army crawling on her elbows, so not formally crawling yet but she sure can get where she wants to go. We find her at Ben's laptop quite often. She is a big fan of cords also. So it is now time for us to baby proof the house. She still has no teeth and does not like baby food very well. Although you can see she is getting plenty of formula. Her bouncer is her favorite past time, and she also likes to talk to the baby in the mirror. We are so greatful to have her, she is a true joy in our lives, even on the sleepless nights.

We stayed at home this weekend and relaxed, Ben played in a golf tournament Saturday, so Harper, GG and I went shopping. Overall pretty noneventful.

We are going to Lubbock next weekend to visit friends and shop at our good friend's consignment baby sale. Which we look forward to twice a year.

So far we have only had a few visitors, and are looking forward to more so keep that in mind.
